Everything was going great and the anthelia was even spreading to other rocks pretty fast.

While in the kitchen making dinner, my 1 yr old daughter managed to get her hands in the tank and have some fun!

When I got back I found my skimmer cup floating around the tank and also a really nice anthelia frag that was spreading was ripped out of place and upside down on the gravel.

I put it back in its place asap and did a small water change.

Everything else in my tank is looking ok I.e.. Xenia, mushrooms, zoas and other anthelia, but the frag I found upside down is still looking shriveled and not looking to well.

Will the anthelia frag come back to life or will it slowly start to melt as it's had quite the shock.

Is there anything I can do to try save or best just leaving it be?

Any help appreciated please as this was probably my favourite piece in the tank :/

Only thing you can do, is what you did do. Now you just have to sit and wait it out. They are pretty hardy, and it should survive.

Running some carbon and wet skimming should increase your chances of keeping it alive.

IME it should be fine, I thought I had completely lost the frag I bought just in the 30min car journey home, it just looked like a frag of melted flesh! But before I knew it it was growing like crazy!!! In my opinion really think hard about if they are in the long term plans of your aquarium because once they really start growing they will take over everything! I removed mine in a take transfer before it started to spread to other rocks. It how lives in a QT with two 5000k CF for light and hell it's still thriving even after that tank went through a mini cycle! It's the hardiest coral I've ever owned!
