Here's a chalice I have that got stung like mad by a RBTA that decided to split while I was on vacation. I almost threw it away, but instead, laid it on top of a rock in an area of good flow in my fuge...while cutting back some chaeto I noticed some color on the skeleton, so I moved it into my display tank again and here's what going on now....

No. I have not pitched it but there is no flesh left. As of a few days ago it 100% skeleton. I was hoping there might be some hope left.

This same thing happened to me. I ordered the Ultimate Aquariums Orange/Rainbow and the next day it has peeled to nothing. I pulled it from the tank and was half way to the trash can and for some reason decided to keep it. This thing was all skeleton. 2 weeks later 4-5 eyes popped out of the skeleton. I cut away the skeleton and ended up w/ 3 pieces. Now, 9-12 months later I have a nice frag, a 2 eye piece the size of a quarter and a single eye piece bigger than a half dollar. Im stoked because 143 Gadgets is the only other person I know of that has that one...

There is. Mine looked like 100% skeleton. Don't toss it yet...

I lost a flame thrower colony. It didn't ship well and arrived extremly stressed. It held on for a while and even started to look a little better but then it crapped out. I'll hold on to the skeleton and keep my fingers crossed.

I agree. I had 2 chalices that I thought were 100% gone but left the dead looking coral in the tank and they both grew back. I hope for the best for you!

Thank you both. I hope your right. It's depressing looking at the skeleton but I'll leave it there.

good save if i say so myself. starting to color up around the edges hopefully that means growth soon.
