So I have 2 ocellaris clowns in an 85 gal with a midas blenny, royal gramma, diamond goby, yellow tang and a mandarin. So far none of the clowns have bothered a single fish until I added a flame angelfish last week, the bigger orange ocellaris keeps chasing the flame angel all over the tank, there’s enough arches and hiding places and I’m just wondering if there’s anything I can do to get the clownfish to stop the aggression towards the angelfish? I tried the mirror trick but only distracts them for a minute and once they see the angelfish is back to chasing. Moved rocks around as well and same thing once again.
will the angelfish be okay long term?

It is going to really depend on the fish. If they are aggressive now, they will probably be aggressive in the future.

I have a female snowflake clown that attacks my hand ANYTIME it's in the water in a 180g tank. She chases my tangs, fox face, wrasses, pretty much anything if they spend too much time near "her spot".

Seriously starting to contemplate to get this clownfish out and put them on my qt tank for a week or so.

can you put the fish in the sump for a week?
or you can re arrange the rocks to reset home spot

Tried the rocks and didn’t do much. I can put them on my qt tank though?

Quick answer, no. I have a 210g, 7ft long tank and I had added my pair of occelaris from my 29g. They killed everything I added. I had to rehome them.

You don’t think placing them in a separate tank for a couple of weeks would do it?

Probably not, no. Clownfish in my experience generally don't just 'mellow' out, it's a bit in-built so if they are aggressive, they'll keep being aggressive - or at least try to.

I think I had enough of the aggression, re-homing the aggressor and getting a different clownfish for the other ocellaris that’s left in tank. Any suggestions? The other is a black and white ocellaris
