will my new lobo color up?

Hey guys I got a shipment of new corals in today. I got this nice lobo with a few heads. I wanted this one as it was a blue with a deep red center.
the supplier sent me an email said it had a few bum heads but he has another the same color.
I said ok, cool ( my thought were if it the same color why tell me? but I thought it was supper cool to be letting me know) anyway I get it in today its in the tank now for around 7 hrs its a dull purple with a bit of very faint blue. no deep red and diffidently not the blue that i was looking for as that is was why I bought this piece. the color poped in the photo.

so as I am new to lobos wondering if they loose color from being stress out? and if so how long for the color to come back?

I know there is stress from shipping, difference is lighting etc. and most likely they used a editing program to bump up the colors...

to be honest I am bummed. dont get me wrong it's a nice coral just not at all the colors i thought i was getting.

I will see what it looks like under mostly blues maybe that's how they take there photos?
so if you have experience with lobos and shipping let me know.

I know some of you will say this is way to but from your LFS but I dont have one. not is the state.

IMO you answered some of the questions yourself already.
Give it some time and make sure you nutrient level is there where it needs to be.

It's been my experience that after 24hrs in a box it takes 3-4 days for it to color up. If it hadn't returned to near its original color by then it's unlikely it will. Again, this has just been my experience. I'm certain others have had different.

In my experience it depends on who you buy your corals from, and you have to keep in mind that there will be a color difference from the vendor depending on what type of lighting they use and also they always take top down photos. If you look at your coral from the top down it will always be different than viewing through your glass.

That being said. All the euphyllia that I have purchased in my aquarium have all came in not looking exactly what the picture I was drooling over. I would only get glimps of that picture I saw when there was mainly actinics on. Each and every one of them have colored up over several months. Some I have are still coloring up more. So if you have stable parameters and good nutrients in the water. They will color up. Its not a fast coloring up either. Just keep that in mind.

If the colors that you are looking for are not there. Its most likely you will not see them in anytime in the near future on the existing heads. If the colony is from the same area, or collection...the new heads may give you what you are looking for. this is just a guess here since I cant see the coral.
