Okay so going from a very weak 1200 gph return pump (estimated less than 1000gph with 3 foot head pressure) upgraded to 2400 gph with way way more surface agitation could my par be alot lower ? Do i need to turn up my leds?

Day late....My findings using a MQ510 sensor and hybrid t5/led. 16" deep tank, lights 16" from waters surface.

Par 2" below surface with no surface agitation ( wavemakers off ) was 200

Par 2" from bottom with no surface agitation ( Wavemakers off ) was 130

When i turned on wavemakers and remeasured with plenty of surface agitation there was no noticeable change.

So this supports surface agitation Does Not have an effect on par.

Thanks! Very helpful info. Lighting and flow are very important but hard or expensive to test for.
