I just purchased my second ReefBreeders V2. One is over an 18” SPS dominated tank and the other will be over a 12” LPS tank. I was programming the new fixture and my wife noticed that both fixtures are dimming. I believe the one remote is controlling both fixtures.

Is there a way to program the fixtures independently? The tanks have very different lighting requirements.

Please help!

Hi,

The controller automatically pair with any nearby lights out of the box. This is useful for larger aquariums with multiple lights. Unfortunately this also can cause interference if you want multiple tanks in the same room on different programs.

Our lights don't require the controllers to run, however. The settings are saved internally along with the correct time, so if you program each light and save the program to your light, they will run their own independent program.

In order to do this, simply unplug the lights you don't want to program. Input and save your custom settings. Then repeat the process for your other set of lights. Plug all the lights back in once you are done with programming and have set your remotes aside. Keep in mind that using the remote will cause the lights to pair with a single remote again.

Amazing! Thanks so much!!! I was thinking of taking the light upstairs or in the garage and then bringing it back after programming, but this is much easier!
