Porous Cyclodextrin Polymers (P-CDPs)
These polymers are very effective in removing MPs, micro pollutants including heavy metals. Tests have shown they are better as GAC and as they are cheap to produce and easy to regenerate with bio solvents also very cost effective. New developments make it possible to select the size of the target organics which means MP's are removed but bigger organic compounds are left untouched. ref: https://www.cyclopure.com/Technology.html This may make it possible to obtain crystal clear water containing organic particles, ideal for filter feeders. This may make it possible to combine marine live not often seen in modern reef aquaria, if not at all.
Will the development of P-CDPs as CycloPure's HACP's (High-Affinity Cyclodextrin Polymers), in development supported by TU Delft, Cornell University and Northwestern University, be the end of the carrier of the skimmer?
Till now I could not find much about the use of P-CDPs in seawater.

From polymers as ORGAN-EX, which can be regenerated using a salt solution ( brine) (ref: http://www.orcalabs.co.za/organ-ex-ultimate-organic-waste-absorber/ ) I could not find any lab tests. I do not know if this polymer is based on Cyclodextrin. I do not know what this polymer removes and leaves behind, exactly. As Seachem gives the impression to the reader, on its Purigen webpage section regeneration, products which can be regenerated using brine are not as good, (ref: https://www.seachem.com/purigen.php ) Organ-EX probably is a competitor to fear as brine is a lot safer to use compared to bleach for a product to be used in a reef aquarium. ORGAN -EX claims to be able to remove a lot more as Purigen as Purigen only removes nitrious organics. I would like to know what exactly.
More info about ORGAN-EX is welcome.
