Will Purigen or Carbon cause microbubbles in skimmer?

My skimmer is producing an insane amount of microbubbles, been 2 weeks now…

Maybe? Additions to the water can increase skimming bubbles and cause overflows. Also check the (in-sump!) skimmer body for leaks that can create microbubble issues in the sump?

Its an icecap nano k1, its in the back middle chamber where the return pump is. no other place to be. Leaks?
