Will Revive kill Hair Algae?

I have some Hair Algae on my Frags and want to get rid of it.

Before I dipped my Zoanthid Frags in Hydrogen Perioxide and it worked in Killing the Hair Algae.

But now I have Hair Algae on SPS and do not know if Hydrogen Peroxide is safe on them like it is with Zoanthids.

I do have Revive Coral Dip by Two Little Fishies which is safe for SPS.

So I am wondering could I Dip my SPS Frags in Revive and kill the Hair Algae?

I use Revive to dip my corals , but I cant say it kills hair algae. I would suggest getting your phosphate and silicate levels down if your having nuisance algae problems. Do you use a Phosban Reactor? GFO Is great stuff. You can also try this little trick. If you dose magnesium try using Kent Tech M Magnesium. There is something in this stuff that nuisance algae simply doesn't like. Ive been using this stuff for years and I can truthfully say I have not had any algae problems for years. Take in mind that I run GFO also. I keep my Mag levels around 1300 to 1375 ppm. There are articles online about this supplement and the effects it has on nuisance algae. Check it out.

I dip my frag plugs in revive when I see gha on wm....and he it does kill em.

I do a half a cap ful to 2 cups tank water....soak for 10 mins


Usually next day gha is gone. If not the day after.

Ive been doing this since the gha outbreak of '13 in my tank :/

I’m going to conduct an experiment to see if it works I have four coral frags with GHA on them and I’m going to dip them all in revive coral dip to see if the GHA can be killed by it I will let you all know the results of this in 24hours
