Bought an RFA a while ago. Thought it was WYSIWYG but turns out I was incorrect. Was labeled “ultra” if that means anything. When I got it I thought it was just mad after shipping. Tentacles were orange but body mostly white. . . It’s been a few weeks and still looks about the same. It is a smaller specimen so I imagine it will grow. . . But will it get more colorful?

With the muted colors, does the anemone largely look the same (striation pattern, color, tentacle coloration/pattern), or, is it a completely different anemone?

It may have bleached during transit to you. If so, just give it good care while it restores its Zooxanthellae algae and it will color up.

Another thing to consider are your lighting vs. the lighting its WYSIWYG photo was taken under. Online fish stores tend to use blue lighting that really brings out coral/anemone phosphorescence, some go even a step further and photoshop their photos which is misleading.

they come in a white zebra stripe variety and it is a desirable morph. If it is that, then it will stay that color.
