Will soaking equipment in vinegar dissolve Vermetid snail shells

The title says it all for the most part. My tank goes through cycles of Vermetid snails and I want to make sure they don’t damage my chiller, powerheads, pumps, ect. I know vinegar is commonly used to clean equipment and that it helps break down calcium-based life forms that cause equipment problems and failures. The cost of said equipment is pretty darn expensive so I want to take care of it and make sure it lasts as long as it can haha! I would like to know if there is a more effective way to remove them or is vinegar my best bet. As all ways any input is appreciated and thank you in advance.

Vinegar should work, the longer the soak the better!

Yes it will. You gotta use a lot and leave it to soak overnight. I usually put a gallon of the cheapest vinegar I can find and fill it up with water in a 5 gallon bucket.
