Will Soda Lime remove Carbon monoxide in addition to Carbon dioxide?

No it does not, but it can release CO in the presense of certain reactive agents.

Agree, it does not bind carbon monoxide. I do not think release of CO is any concern in an aquarium use. The active agents mentioned above are not going to be present in home or outside air.

Thank you for the answer. This is the reason for asking, occasionally my neighbors burn brush and the skimmer intake is outside. Its conceivable that with the correct prevailing wind, a good amount of smoke could be pulled in for a few moments. While I do run soda lime and carbon on the intake reactor as a precaution, how concerned should I be with carbon monoxide?

I do not know how much carbon monoxide might be created in a brush fire, but typically, CO is not a high concern when there is smoke, because the smoke becomes obviously a problem before CO. I've never heard of people warning to be careful around a campfire due to CO.

It is in nonsmoky fires, like a natural gas furnace, that CO can hit you out of the blue.
