My PH has rised to 8.94.
I read one option is to add carbon dioxide directly to the tank by using bottled soda water. Adding six mL of soda water per gallon of tank water can also reduce the pH by about 0.3 units. Since I own a Soda Stream was wondering if i carbonated ro/di water then added. Would that be ok?

Are you adding something to get the pH that high? A bit of fresh air and surface agitation should take care of things..... Unless you are adding something that is artificially increasing pH

There is nothing being added to the tank. I have done 2 water changes the last few days which lowered it to 8.78 . I believe i have good surface agitation plus the protein skimmer I know my ph should be between 8.0 and 8.4. So i was looking for ways to lower my ph

The pH is not that high. Definitely not. Do not try to lower it. It is test error.

That said, soda water is a perfectly good way to lower pH when, in an emergency overdose of high pH additives, the pH really is too high.

This has more, including soda water dosing for others who find this thread and who do have high pH issues:

Thank you Randy.
I just switched to a Apex Controller System its been running for almost two weeks. So I'm glad to hear its ok.
