Will "splitting" this aquascape help my aggressive wrasse chill out a bit?

A month after adding a 6-line wrasse to my tank, he has become aggressive and is chasing my firefish into a tiny cave most of the day (under the far right-hand rock). All the other inhabitants seem to be getting along with the wrasse, but my poor fire fish is hiding and used to be out all the time.

I am wondering if rearranging and splitting this aquascape into two distinct "mountains" will possibly allow for the wrasse to claim one and for the firefish to claim the other.

Any other ideas or suggestions? My other option is to put the wrasse in my QT (currently empty, but I have been meaning to put in a fish just to keep the ammonia/bacteria cycle going), but then I fear he will attack any new fish I put in there.

Find the 6 line a new home. You will always have to worry about it attacking tankmates. Far better options in the wrasse family.

In my experience, once they target on a poor fish, they are relentless. Doesn't seem like it's about the territory as much.

One thing you could try is isolate it a confinement box in the DT for a week or so - observe it behavior - and then let it go if you see it calms down.
