Knock on wood, I've been lucky so far! Fingers crossed it will continue that way! My purple tang got ich after quarantine which suggests to me I did something wrong. How many have ran quarantine just to find blue hippo or regal tang has ich again?

Did you let your tank sit fallow for a long enough period to kill the ich in the display? How many have ran quarantine just to find blue hippo or regal tang has ich again?

Yeah I did quarantine but now I’m like ahh will it ever show up in display now? Should I sell it before I transfer itKnock on wood, I've been lucky so far! Fingers crossed it will continue that way! My purple tang got ich after quarantine which suggests to me I did something wrong.
Took them both (.. and all the other ones out!) again and tried once more. Since January this year, they have all been fine with no apparent indication.
People to say that the regal is a magnet to ich? And the powder blue as well? I do love that one..
Yes 76 days is MONDAY !!!!Did you let your tank sit fallow for a long enough period to kill the ich in the display?
Never in QT. I follow QT and still got this dangerous creature.
But my blue did get a minor infection (about 14 dots) 4 years after he entered the tank. There had been no sign of this parasite in his DT for 3 years, last two, no fish additions.
Luckily, after several weeks, they just ended over two nights.
No one else was infected.
Sometimes I think this ick stuff is in every tank, waiting for some environmental change to start their cycle.
Do you see ick?Yeah I did quarantine but now I’m like ahh will it ever show up in display now? Should I sell it before I transfer it

So I’m confused did it get ich again
I’m at day 75. I have someone wanting to buy the hippo and I’m kind of on the fence right now just because I know they tend to just pull ich out of imaginary spots lol.If the Hippo is not showing signs of ich, and they are very compliant when it comes to ich symptoms, and your tank is 76 days fallow, make it 78 because why not, then you should be fine. I followed this procedure, and I haven't had ich in my tank for over 8 years now. I QT everything thou, corals and inverts including. All sit in a qt for 76 days.
Different coppers require different levels to be therapeutic. Not all copper is equal. Ich doesn't just magically appear in your tank. I have had a PBT for 7 years now, no ich, and it's because I am super careful with adding anything to my tank. If you QT your fish and corals and inverts if you choose, you too can be ich free. What copper did you use?I’m at day 75. I have someone wanting to buy the hippo and I’m kind of on the fence right now just because I know they tend to just pull ich out of imaginary spots lol.
To clarify I ran copper treatment at 2.45ppm
