You will be just fine without the center beam. That tank stand is very overkill.
Any physic major out there can chime in on this for me? So the issue is, im trying to fit a 40g breeder inside my sump and the only way is by removing the center support to put it in the sump then put back the support bar. The frame is build on 2x4. My 108g tank (48x24x21")sit on 3/4" plywood. Would it be any issue if i removed the center beam? I know that glass tank weight is distributes on the 4 corners which i have plenty of support.![]()

In fact, your tank would just be on the edge of what you could build using nothing but plywood. You could remove all the 2x4's and likely wouldn't have issues.
