Hi all, had a glass shop cut some sump baffles for me and it turns out he used laminated glass instead of regular plate. Is this safe to use in my reef where the edges with the exposed plastic layer are submerged all the time?

Thanks

Just smear a layer of silicone over the edge and it can't leach anyway.
I thought about that but instead contacted the glazier and he's just going to order and cut me some regular plate glass so I can stop obsessing over this lol. Yes I overthink everything

I don’t know if it leaches anything but it will delaminate when exposed to moisture. An SVG interlayer would work better but sounds like you’re already getting a monolithic piece anyway so you don’t have to worry about it. I’m surprised they even tried giving you the laminated glass; it’s fairly rare.
