I recently purchased a pair of pajama cardinalfish. They have been in QT for about a week now. They seem active and healthy but aren’t voracious eaters. My style of QT (though I know this is a controversial subject) is to observe before I medicate. If they aren’t visibly ill or in distress I like to watch their eating elimination and general behavior before I add medications.
Anyway I digress...I was doing some more reading on them and it said they should be placed with similarly peaceful tankmates and I wanted to know if those of you with more experience could tell me how to eventually introduce them into my 125g DT.
I currently have one 3-4” hippo tang, 1 small royal gramma, 2 small clowns and a small chromis. The small fish are no more than an inch or so each.
I wouldn’t consider them to be particularly aggressive but I do kinda feel like the hippo rules the roost, especially at feeding time. There is also 1 fire shrimp and some snails and hermits. I have a lot of rock work with a couple of large arches and several available caves/holes.
I also have on my wanted fish list:
lyretail anthias...would like several if I can get the correct ratio of male:female
Lawnmower and/or starry blenny
Fairy wrasse or yellow coris wrasse
Possibly another smaller tang
