Just curious if they will eventually move off the rock the colony is on or just stay like this

They will eventually spread to the base rock under it. Not mobile if that’s what ya mean. But, growth wise. Yes.
Yes i meant growth wise.. i wasn't sure if i had to have the bottom ones actually touching the base rock or if they will find a way to spread

It’ll be slow going if not enough light under the rock, but, if rocks are touching, they will find a way
Yea i may move the colony.. the side facing the front overhangs and has no light hitting them. Though they dont seem to be stretching for like or in any kind of distress in the dark

Depending on the type and direction of light it won't grow under the rock. Some times they grow with "long necks" to reach the light.

None of them are stretching at all, even the oves not getting any light are fully open and not stretching

I was going to suggerst a T5 bulb, but in that case I guess you could give it a bit more white (?). Hard to judge the ral amount of white and blue by the pictures. Seems too blue... But it is doing relatively good there. Make sure you don't move the rock.

I have several zoa amongst 3 tanks which have slowly nut surely climbed onto surrounding rock and structure
