Will this beach bum monti make a comeback?

The pitho crab must have turned over the cement frag plug stand, and I found the frag completely buried. No idea how many days it was buried. Now looks like this after a couple of days upright--originally was pale brown color, now darker brown, which I am suspecting is a film algae. Not sure. Any thoughts?

If it hasn't bleached or died yet I would just leave it be, but keep an eye on it.
