Will this eat my zoas?

I found a few of these on my zoas, it's some type of nudibranch I think ? are they a bad thing to have in my tank?

Looks like a Zoanthid eating nudibranch to me, being that you found it on your zoanthids it's a safe bet. You're going to have to remove the adults manually and if you can remove zoanthids plugs or frags and manually remove eggs.

Bummer.... a long ugly battle ahead of you. If you can remove all zoa/paly's from display to dip and QT for awhile that would be best. Either way I'd consider one of the smaller Wrasses like Yellow Coris, Radiant or if tankmates would tollerate a 6-line. Good luck with the battle.

Aww that sucks man ! I used to have a 6 line wrasse but he killed all my hermits and once he'd finished them off he turned on my fish , he went back to the lfs . I've removed 5 adults that I've seen . I don't really have the room for another fish, will any shrimps eat them ?

Get a Yellow Coris Wrasse if you do not want a 6 line. If you pulled out 5 adults that means that there are going to be a couple of egg clusters. They are in a spiral formation on your stalks of the zoas and paly. You have to pull each z/p frag or colony out and dip them. Then you need to inspect for the egg spirals. The eggs will not be killed with a dip so you are going to have to manually remove them.

sucks! the best guys for the job are a yellow or green coris wrasse or a twin spot wrasse. they're amazing at pest control. also when you QT or dip your zoas or frags, flat worm exit has worked wonders. it will knock off the eggs off the zoa stock. the best is to inspect every frag & manually remove the eggs & then dip. good luck & happy reefing!
