I’ve been posting a lot about this so sorry for the spam but I recently added a hammer in and about it wasn’t doing too well. The other two are doing perfectly fine. I just wanna know if it will do more harm than good by keeping it in the tank. Also only one of the heads is like this. The other head is doing ok.

is it getting enough flow? I mean, I can see the other one there close to it...but is it moving as much? have you tried feeding it? (always my solution....fat fish and corals

Before this it was actually in a different spot where I think it was getting too much flow. The head that is withering is also the head that was closer to the high flow. I decided to move it to this spot and it definitely does move and the flow is a lot less than where it originally was. I do have reef roids. Should I go heavier with feeding that for the time being or should I try some other type of food?

I don’t see any brown jelly on it so leave it alone. It may recover. High direct non changing flow probably damaged it. Looks like a newer frag. They may of damaged that head when fragging. Only remove it if you see anything resembling brown jelly.

Unfortunately it looks like it's already losing it's polyps, it's pretty much gone. Cutting is only good when there are separate branches that aren't connected by any soft tissue in my experience. I recommend using a dremel with a diamond blade when cutting euphylia. Bone cutters run the risk of splintering and don't allow for precision. I avoid cutting above where the arrow is pointing.
