Fairly sure this hammer polyp just got crushed with a rock during a rock rearrangement, then to boot was put in too high flow for a few days and started separating from the skeleton. The rest of the polyps are fine. Just wondering if this will recover or if I should remove it/ leave it alone?

Should I clip it?
I am not an expert but I wouldn’t clip it. I have a hammer that had like 6 heads and got eaten by my peppermint shrimp bc I didn’t feed them for like a week and now my hammer has like 10 baby head growing on it. Still waiting to see if it’ll make a full recovery but probably will take 6 months to a year. The heads are tiny lol

Absolutely crazy. The one polyp is definitely dead and the tissue is separating from the skeleton.

BUT! The polyp next to it is splitting!!!! Instant replacement!!!
