Will this leather kill my corals???

Hello, i’m pretty new to the hobby and i just purchased a leather coral i did some research on them but at the time i never saw that they can release toxins into the water. It’s closed up now but i’m hoping someone could tell me what kind of leather this is

No. At most, it might possibly slow down the growth of other corals when nipped being attacked but simple carbon fixes that. Leather corals close when moved. Its normal.
