Will this leave a scar?

This fish is my QT tank. When changing water I mistakenly moved a rock and it fell on him causing this injury making me feel so bad..
The fish is acting well and eating. Wondering, will this leave a scar?

How big was the rock? Is the patchy white mark behind his head where the rock struck him or is that just from him being stressed?

The rock size is about 2 hands.
The white marking was there before, he's starting to transform to adult pattern.

Attaching another pic which clarifies the injury from the rock. He got stuck under the rock for a split second and freed himself up from it. There's another mark on the exact opposite side of his body but less severe. I suspect this side was the one facing the rock.

As Chris Farley would say,”That’s going to leave a mark.” Lol seriously glad to hear he’s eating and acting normal. I have a sub adult emperor who gets faded white patches when he’s not happy that looks similar to yours in the photos. I hope he heals up nice would be a shame they’re such beautiful fish. IME I’ve had fish get scratches that looked horrible and in a few months we’re completely gone. My orange shoulder tang however had two nice round bite marks from Toby puffer that unfortunately never healed grrr. Anyhow I guess overall health is more important than looks right? Keep him eating high quality foods and vitamin supplements like selcon and hope for the best. Maybe somebody has better solution for you. Best of luck!

I wouldn’t suspect that to leave a scar. Will most likely heal up in a couple weeks.

If its eating and acting normal it will be fine.

Ive had a tang put a HUUUGE gash in another fish, like you could see red meat. Took about 3 weeks to heal and you couldnt even tell anymore.

Just checking how is the angelfish recovering. I have similar situation which the emperor angelfish was stressed out when put in the tub with bunch of liverocks and ended up scraping himself. I bought it at risk but he eats well.
