I would want to have more fish in my aquarium. Was thinking of Pajama Cardinalfish as they look nice and are supposed to be easy. As I'm understanding they are a scholling fish so if I add them I should probably get at least 5.

I am currently having a Juwel Lido 120 (120 litres, ~30 gallon) with rocks, sand, an internal skimmer, streamer and (currently) internal filter.

My current stock is:

~6 snails
2 hermit crabs
2 clown fish
2 firefish
1 Diamond watchman goby
4 small pieces of different macro algeas
1 Duncan with several heads
1 two headed Frogspawn
1 small montipora
1 ricordea yuma
2-3 ricordea florida
2 small pieces of Briareum growing on a small rock

If i get 5 Pajama Cardinalfish, will my aquarium be then overstocked?

I am a beginner when it comes to reef tanks and I would appreciate advice if adding 5 Pajama Cardinalfish is possible or if there are other types of fish I could add, which are compatible with the current stock, to make the aquarium more lively

Not sure 5 is a good idea. 2-3 would be suitable.

Yes, that would overstock your system

IMO your list of 5 fish currently would be max. I noticed you don't have a sump so no added volume. 30 gallons will be very small once those fish and corals grow a bit.

I have a 29 gallon tank with sump/extra filtration and I only have a pair of clowns and a sixline wrasse for fish. I could maybe have one more small fish, but I like to give the current residents space to grow.

Thanks for your answers! I will then wait with adding more fishes until I have a bigger aquarium.

I have 12 fish and 2 moray eels in a 60. Great filtering system . They are all happy, and healthy. Imo cardinals are boring fish I’d put one in and find some nicer fish.
I also think cardinals are boring. I have a pajama cardinal and he just floats around and usually stares at the corner.

+1 to @yourmom @Webslinger and @sfin52
I have a pair and they just hover. They don't school, they just float.
