Hi just wondering if a light like this can grow any easy corals in a 15 gallon tank?
I also added 3 of the lunar blue pods.

Likely inadequate especially for coral
Best is:
Kessil a160
Ai prime

Might work of you buy 50 or 60 of them. Best to just save and get something you know works.

I would say no as it’s doesn’t look strong enough and is a light for plants. Look into an AI Prime or EchoTech Marine light or even one like this could grow some softies but that’s it. https://a.co/d/4QmQdDP They aren’t going to be cheap but if you want to grow corals it’s a must and worth it.

While the price of the lighting can look expensive when starting out, in the grand scheme it's nothing. Take the time to save and get something proven. Makes no sense to buy lighting that's cheaper than a lot of the coral out there.

For a small tank with softies, there are tons of "black box" reef LEDs on Amazon for less, and with great features like scheduling and intensity ramps. A Kessil A80 tuna blue runs $140 new and $100ish used, just need to add a basic timer. Down the road you could always upgrade to a spectral controller if you have the budget and want to play around more, but shouldn't be necessary for low light requirement corals.

Oh, I missed that you're in Oz. No idea what LED pricing is like there, but I think you'd be much better off with a "black box" reef led in the 30-60W range or a secondhand "brand name" LED like something from Ai, Ecotech or Kessil.

So I found these two lights and was just wondering if this type would work and also whether to go with a 50 watt or 100 watt. Dimensions of tank 61cm long 30cm wide 37cm tall.

I've heard nicrew being talked about as a low budget light option.
I have never used that brand before, but I think it's a huge jump forward compared to your first choice.
I would assume you would have manual dimmers so it won't run at full power all the time.
I would get the double puck model just for usable spread.
Hopefully someone who has used this brand can jump in and give some first hand advice.

The nicrew doesn’t seem to be accessible to us in Australia but I did find this one it seems better ad it comes with a remote where I can set the intesity and the cycle time. Would 80 watt be sufficient?
