Will this stand/cabinet fail to support a reef tank?

Hello I purchased a 24”x24” cabinet from SC Aquariums and just noticed if this part of the cabinet would fail to support a reef tank with dry rock.

It was designed for that tank why would it fail. You will be ok.
I have an SC tank and love it. Good choice.

Ah my bad. sorry I forgot to say that I got a separate tank (not from SCA). I’m going to install a bean animal overflow so not sure if it can hold.

More than likely the biggest tank you'll put on that is a 60 cube. So you're talking 600-700 pounds with water, rock and sand. That cut out looks to be 8-10" wide but they did round the corners so that strengthens everything. It looks like they used screws as well so that's good. A sump in the bottom is going to weight a couple hundred pounds as well. Dry rock isn't dry anymore when you add water. SCA is pretty good at this stuff and has a good reputation.

But then if you take the pound per square inch and divide by the coefficient of gravity....

Ha! Who am I kidding. You'll be fine. Lol. Had you all going there for a minute
