will this sump light grow my cheato

just lost my tuna flora a 80 on my sump
i need to replace it dont want to go the expensive route will this grow my cheato fine i have a 50oo k bulb in the mean time on it

It will work for now I would go to home depot and get a 65k from phillips.

I would get the one in the link or a similar one from Amazon. I have a 24 w red/blue narrow flood bulb about five inches off the surface and the thing grows chaeto like a boss. Doubles every two weeks. I had a 6500k before and no joke the growth is at least four times as fast with this new one. Been running it about five or so months now.

So the bulb I ordered would work and yess I will have it like maybe 8 inches above water and is 12 gallon refiugium but only had a space for the cheato

Yes I had a similar one a while back. You will need to protect the light from salt spray.

Something similar to that and my cheato will sometimes dubble in size in one week. The red LEDs are the best when griwigr alge... Or so I've heard
I have it set up to a timer under my tank with my frog fish in my sump and it's working good for me!

I got a small hook, drilled a small hole and used braded wire with clips on the end. I also have a timer to turn it on at night so my chaleto is giving off oxygen at night. I believe that it helps with any PH swings
