Will this sump work?

Got this sunp from a fellow reefer and was unsure if it was usable. You can adjust anything in it. It has random egg crate glued into place. I was hoping i could adjust the water height as i wanted to use my Tunze 9012 as it needs 10.5” of water height. I also have a 29gal diy sump to i got from him.

Presumably it’s deep enough but will it flood from the DT into the sump at 10.5”?
