Looking for a place for a tall 3-5 gallon pico and was thinking of this bookshelf and/or adjacent window sill. (note: i actually want the extra light since this will be a seagrass pico).

Do you think this bookshelf and or window sill will be sufficiently strong to hold a tank of that size? (max size of, say, 5 gallons, 10x10x15 high, 20lbs of sand for a deep sand bed = about 60-70 lbs. Note that this will fit the window sill and book shelf just fine). I will put a tray under the tank to catch salt water spill. And of course the books will be removed from the top of the bookshelf. :D

Is the shelf solid wood or particle board? If it’s not solid wood I would put it on the window sill and it should be fine as long as the entire bottom is supported and it’s level
