Hey guys im trying to plan out the sump for my 150 gallon tank. I want to do a 30L for skimmer sump and megaflow 4 for refugium. Can I have 2 return pumps going back to DT? Both will fit with plenty of roon in fabinet. Thoughts?

Let me get this clear....two return pumps....and then I'm assuming two drain lines coming down from the DT, one line to each sump....and these two tanks aren't hooked together. Can't do it! Even if you do a smashed up job balancing the pumps to the drains, eventually one of the two sumps will run a little low and that means the other is now overflowing. You need to tie those two sumps together....and at this point, there is no need for two returns.

What if I use a control valve for the megaflow? To make sure that water is always the same in that one? Or make sure that the 30L can hold all the water?

Or can I drill the 30L and have it overflow into the megaflow4 of water somehow gets in the 30L alot more?

If you have room in the stand, raise the 20L up with its own little stand….2x6’s or something like that. You want it high enough so that you can drill a hole in the side of the 20L and have it overflow into the Plexi-sump. Now this means a relatively high water level in the 20L so you might need to raise the skimmer up or move it over to the plexi-sump and use the 20L as the refugium.

You mean 30L? Checkout these pictures

I'd sit the mega flow slightly above the 30l, drill a hole for a 1" bulkhead, and run a pvc from the raised megaflow in the lower 30L and let gravity feed one into the other, thus only needing on return pump. Much easier to accomplish this way than to start messing with flows.

Can I drill the 30L instead and have it overflow into the fuge? I think this is better because I can drill a hole where it is most optimal for the skimmer so the water level will never change

Yea, either one will work, its just a bit easier to drill a hole into acrylic than it is glass.
