Vectra L2. Cannot get the smaller barb inside of this 1.5 OD tubing... which makes no sense, but I'm blistered and defeated at this point. Will seating the tubing inside of the larger barb and then also inside of the pump work? If not, does anyone know of a solution?

Get a cheap heat gun from Walmart. That’s what I did for my return pump.

Or boil some water and heat the end of the hose up so it will accept the barbed fitting.

How long should i submerge the line in the boiling water?

Thank you. While I cannot get it flush, I do have it down to the last ring. I think I'll call this a win and give my poor, poor hands a break.
