Will touching live rock kill coralline?

I took one of my live rocks out of the tank to inspect it for aitapasia, and now it appears where my fingers touched the rock it is turning white! Will the purple come back or did I mess things up?

You can't really find aptasia once you move it it sucks back into a hole.

Air will turn your corraline white. It'll come back.
