Will two of these overflow work for beananimal?

So replaced the chipped pane of glass last week and the 180 is holding water as it should. My question is I want to do the beananimal or herbie can I still use this type of overflow. The tank will be setup for fish, live rock and maybe a few coral

add a gate valve to the first drain and adjust it until you have no air bubbles (full siphon). The second drain you can add a street elbow directly into the bulk head. This setup you won't hear the water draining!

If possible find an overflow box that uses the bulkhead to attach it to the glass. The one you are looking at will have to be glued to the glass with silicone. While the bond between silicone and glass is very secure the bond with acrylic can fail. Something like this one might be a better option.

That is the one i went with, should i get two or just the one will be fine? I also picked up a mag drive 12 from ebay for $40.

They are suppose to be good up to 1000 gph
With your 180 I would shoot for 900 to 1100 gph through the sump.
I would also want several hundred gallons per hour capacity buffer in the over flow, so maybe 2?

One thing I found out is when you place the template on the back wall be sure to push it all the way up as far as it goes.
Too low and your water line shows under the trim of the tank.
