Will using "Magenta" grow light, kill aptasia?

So, I've got a sump full of aptasia and besides using it as a breeding ground for the dirty you know what's, it's also used to grow cheato. So i bought a "grow" light to put up over it and i'm interested to know if anyone has by chance been in a similar situation and had the light kill the aptasia?

Aiptasia can survive in total darkness feeding on detritus, which is why you can find them in overflows, pipework and cryptic zones. So unfortunately a lighting change won't eradicate them.
