I have read a lot on this forum and others about people having problems growing zoanthids under Radion lights. I have read they melt, don't open fully, the colors fade, they grow slow, etc. Maybe Radions are better suited for LPS or SPS.

If anyone has had long term success growing zoas under Radions, can you post your success picture and share your settings?

Thanks in advance for sharing.

If this post needs to be moved to the Zoa thread, let me know

I've got some rastas in the top right. Under that the alien farm the better than blowpops(i think) to the left of those I just added some Jamba juice from Joe knows reef. I got an utter chaos that has already split into 3 heads. I'm running the coral lab program for my sps but have great colors on everything pretty much. I did my zoa garden a little lower in my scape so I don't scorch them.

I have had great success. I think it really depends on what intensity and for how long you're running. I use a modified SPS AB+ setting @ 64% intensity at its max. keep zoos towards the lower 1/2 of the tank and they should be fine. I have 1 that has about 50 new polyps in only 3 months. Utter Chaos that started with 3 in march and has 11 now. All colors are good but I have noticed if you place at an angle to the lights it does make little difference. You can also get the TIR lenses and they will spread the light out even more.
