William Wallace's 55g with minimum equipment.

Vibrant seems to be helping for the GHA at least. I knows it's a popular treatment. What is everyone's experience with it, dosing level and length of time for it to start really shining?

Battling algae again. Got the tank clean but every different kind of algae seem to thrive at some point. Ugh. Nutes are good so it seems I need more nutrient removement before algae consume it.

You need to export the nutrients. Not just let the snails poop it out.

Have you considered an ATS or HOB refugium or cheato?

Tank looks beautiful.

Hey! Yea I have considered multiple options but space is very limited. I've been thinking about an algae reactor or just growing sump plants in an open corner of my tank for nutrient control. Any suggestions on an algae reactor?

Love the 55 gallon size. I have had good results with vibrant! I have a 55 gallon myself and minimal equipment similar to yours. I’ll tag along!

New cleaning crew is doing quite the job on my algae issue. I'm starting to think it was more of a cleaning crew issue than anything else.
New light will be here tomorrow. I'll definitely be posting pics once I get everything situated.

Got my light installed after chasing it down. UPS couldn't get to my house due to snow this morning so I had to track him down, call him and head to town to pick it up lol. Totally worth it tho. WOW what a difference. Haddoni has already blown up and corals look great.. altho I can see my algae more lol. New cleaning crew is doing a great job on it tho so in time that eyesore will be gone. I'll post pics soon

Look at this baby now!! CUC completely cleaned everything and the tank is looking amazing. Such a comeback from my crash a year ago. I've even got a few sick SPS going now. Fingers crossed, seem to be doing well so far, the bubblegum digi and rainbow stylo are really shining

Haddoni decided to move to the complete other side of the tank after installing my new light. He is settled in and happy with his new spot. Had to completely change the aqua scape to accommodate this change. My new sps are also doing great and growing. Yay!
