I moved in may of 2021 and upgraded my Waterbox 70:2 to a Fijicube 108 EXT. After quite a few mishaps the tank was finally transferred in early June. In the first two weeks I lost my Mombassa lionfish and and flame angelfish due to an Ich outbreak. As things started to settle in with the tank, I was at a loss as to which direction I wanted to take the tank. I ended up deciding to make large anemones and Euphyllia the focus of the tank, with some SPS (mainly branching acros) to round it out.

Currently I am having a couple of issues:
  • My second Reterri anemone is currently undergoing Cipro treatment for a bacterial infection. It is not improving
  • I have a moderate level Ich outbreak in the display. I am in the process of setting up a 20L QT tank. I should have down this long ago, but lack of space has limited me so far. My trigger, fox face, and butterfly seem to be most affected.

I plan to start treatment in the QT tank with just those fish (likely hyposaline + CP +\- Copper.

*I know that unless I run the tank fallow, the ich will not be eliminated., but I’m not sure a 20L will be able to house all of my fish safely..::

How are you liking the Fijicube? I have the 108 with the internal overflow and almost ready to get it wet. Your tank looks great.

I love it, setting it up was a pain in the butt, but now that it is set up in love it.

Mine is ready for a water test... plumbing it and wiring everything took a minute. You can see everything in my build thread: HERE

Question... what water level do you run in your sump. What do you have your adjustable gate set to leaving the skimmer compartment?

I run the skimmer section at 11”, my skimmer sits on a 2” riser, so it sits in 9” of water.

here is a picture of the eel.

Same here with the Fiji-20 sump I run on my 60 cube. Was just verifying that the sump on this tank had enough room to hold the water when the pumps kick off.

Very nice set-up. I just purchased the 108 INT 3 weeks ago. Question, what type of lid are you using on this set-up, also what type of lights are you using as well?
Reefi Uno for the lights and the lid is custom.
