Winning against GHA

I’ve had a hair algae problem now for the last few months and about a month ago I started using algaefix. Man, that stuff is great. Algae is dying and falling away from the rocks and glass in large chunks. I can pull it off the rocks easier than ever.

Now, the problem is the spots I can’t reach which includes the back glass.I have a CUC of about 10-15 hermits and 2 turbo snails. Both don’t really eat the algae and my lawnmower blenny just died for some unknown reason (acclimated, added but never saw him again).

What are some sure fire livestock that will eat the algae and avoid eating coral? I have 3 corals. A favia, GSP and a stylo along with an RBTA.

There really isn't a fish that is going to eat large chunks of long, dieing GHA unfortuantely.....especially in a 40G. Your best bet is manual removal....maybe try a siphon and scraper to reach the back?
