If you don't want to spend a lot but have a decent meter for 200 dollars get the Seneye reef monitor. At least you can use that sensor for multiple uses such as ph temp and ammonia monitoring. Watch the BRS tv episode on par meters they do a variety of test with different meters.

I don’t mind spending money, but only if I can get enough use. Renting wouldn’t be a bad idea.
SenEye is a money pit. $10/month for a disk.. it costs more in the long run.

BRS rents several apogee's. I just contacted a member on here who was renting out his apogee meter. He said the last person would not return it until several attempts from him to get it back so I bought it from him instead.

I also thought about renting it out but unfortunately it's just not worth the hassle of trying to get it back.

i know you don’t want to rent it out due to the hassle, but im happy to put down my license/etc as collateral.

Likewise! I would love to rent one as well, but BRS bumped the price from $50 to $70. I dont really care THAT much haha.

So I joined reef visions community, and I was able to rent it as one of the member benefits. That’s 30 bucks I’ve ever spent!!
