Hello, I’d like to have the ability to turn on my waterchange pump either wirelessly or with a remote so I can turn it off when my tank is done filling. Pump is way in the basement and I have unfortunately run back and forth or have my wife monitor. The pump is Jebao 20K and looking to be able to just flip a switch. Would use my Apex but no way to get cable into the basement permanently.

Looking for recommendations on an outlet.

Thanks!

I have an outdoor remote control plug in outlet I got at Lowe's. It's the heavy duty black color with a 1 foot pigtail. It works great for me to turn on and off a pump I use to put fresh saltwater into my tank about 50 feet away during water change.

Good advice from Lloyd. Almost any should work. Even though this is one of the bigger pumps that Jebao sells, the current draw is going to be pretty low (it's only a 165W pump). So capacity shouldn't be an issue. The big thing for you is signal range. If the outlet is going to be in the basement, you just want to make sure that the remote has the power to transmit through walls/floors.

Thanks everyone, just looking for a reliable WiFi one, unsure what’s out there and what people have success with. I’ve used the black one with the pig tail before for Christmas lights. Thinking this might be a good option just fear I’ll lose the dang remote!

I use this one because it has four outlets and usb. I can time things or control with my phone. Spilled some calcium on it. Sizzled for a bit then back to normal ops
