Two Sea Sweeps with Tunze 6255 powerheads. The wires run through the sweeps. Nothing on the walls either.
Last tank had 6 powerheads for proper flow with as many cords.

depending the equipment, sometimes its inevitable to have wires in the DT. personally, i try to have the least amount of eye sore/clutter in the DT as i want to enjoy the aquascape, fish, and corals.

Have to say - I don't care about the wires in the sump area (I don't need a color-designed plumbing area with hidden wires - THOUGH - I admire those that do that because it looks great. However in the tank - minimal wires is my preference.

One annoying idea I came up with is hiding a switched power bar behind the stand's front top brace - with all the outlets connecting blind on the back side (every outlet is individually switched). It is clean (you can not see it without laying on the floor) and convenient (can turn anything off with a push of a button), but nerve racking trying to plug anything in. Kind of have to stick your finger in the outlet to determine orientation and location first.

I did the same thing, switched outlets on my surge protector. But mine has the plugs in the front so i dont have to finger the outlets around salt water. then i bought some 12 inch pigtails with flat male ends so they are flush when plugged in that plug into the outlets and go through a piece of plywood that everything is mounted on so most of the mess is hidden. Couple zipties around each brick and its pigtail to ensure they dont come apart and Im golden.

I started my build with all equipment in the DT hidden. Because everything grow up - new limestone rocks was created by dead corals and hindering my water movement - I have been forced to add one wavemaker that I can see from the front glass (and from one of the side panels) Not sure how to hide that yet.

This post motivated me to tidy up my neglected Waterbox 50.3 AIO wire cabinet. I'm an out-of-sight out of mind, I don't mind wavemaker wires as I feel it " adds" a little to it in its own way! But I do try to keep all my wires and stuff is hidden if able and if not at least organized. Maybe its the OCD in me I work super hard to keep the display squeaky clean.

I wish I had taken a before and after photo, but what better way to spend a rainy morning than cleaning some neglected spots? ( I also have a layer of water/towels etc behind the black where my wires fall just as an extra safety) I have plans on adding the apex Neptune system as I learn more about that stuff! so win for a win making room to start adding these parts!

I want that tank wirement managed like a show cars engine. No visible wiring, clean beautiful block.
Equipment in pristine neat condition, in a place that looks like it was made for it.
But in practice my wiring looks like you took 1km of airline tubing and just threw it in the cupboard behind my tank.

Hey @cilyjr - hope you are well!

I just had to move my 280g to a new home and am rethinking my flow to be all on the back glass like yours.

Previously I had 2 MP40s on each side glass pointing at each other (4 total), and at some point added Gyres on the back wall behind rock work to eliminate dead spots behind rockwork.

In my new home the tank's side glass is MUCH more visible, so I am wanting to just do 4 Mp40s on the back like yours.

Do you have trouble with dead spots? Any advice or thoughts on your flow and how it has worked for you?
