Here is what I came up with as a wiring scheme for my 24 led setup. My setup is going on a heatsink drilled for 36 leds so I had to figure something out to try and place the leds most effectively. I will be using:
3 warm white leds
6 cool white leds
3 blue leds
6 royal blue leds

Here is the wiring scheme, I know the colors used don't match but that is what i had laying around. I would love your opinions on it and suggestions

Placement of the diodes seems to be pretty well spread out to prevent any "hot spots" of white or blue. I'm sure you're probably already aware, but that mix is going to pretty white. If you like a bluer lighting scheme, you may want to consider swapping the warm whites out for more blues.

True or split the whites and the blues on two drivers. (White driver and Blue driver)

You are gonna end up wanting to dim them to dial in the color and intensity

I actualy was not aware of that. Thank you for the advice, do you think I still need to get warm whites, the only reason I am using warm whites is because I am wanting to have the full spectrum so that my corals do not all turn into one color as i saw in one thread

Okay here is an update. So you guys think this will work

In general, I like the neutral whites over the warm whites, but it all depends on the color bin. You can swap out some of the cool whites for neutral whites.

The diagram looks pretty good, though I prefer to group my LEDs in groups of three- two blues and one white grouped together.

CJO nailed it. The warms are way yellow and depending on the bin of your cool whites.

Here is a spectrum chart for just the Cool White as an example.

I decided to go with 8 cool whites, 6 blues, and 10 royal blues and skip the warms, now just to figure out how to spread 24 leds evenly over a heatsink drilled for 36. They are 4 rows of 9. Any ideas?

Thank you Bill. Anyone actualy interested in seeing a build thread on them? They arrive tomorrow. I never get.much traffic on my forum posts on this site so if anyone is interested ill be more than happy to start a build thread

I think that build threads are beneficial to everyone.

Ditto. Sharing your experience might encourage others who would otherwise be intimidated by DIY.

I'm always interested in build threads. I rarely post in them, but I do read them. I get a lot of my ideas from reading different build threads. I also think that they may help that guy out that is on the fence about a DIY project or spending the extra cash for a "out of the box" piece of equipment.

Thanks guys. Iv started the thread but can't post a link since I'm on my phone but look out for it
