I think I spelt the name correct it’s one of my favorite corals it fell off a rock and cut its self i then had to get it out of a crevice and I ended up making it worse is it possible for it to grow back over its skeleton and if not can it at least survive?

If you see the polyps coming out at least then I would maybe feed it some reef energy and use phycopure zooxanthellae .

It may or may not survive, only time will tell, but, if it does die don’t throw it away as the skeleton can produce babies and you may have children in the future. Dipping it in iodine will help, something like Seachem coral dip with iodine in it to help with bacteria infections.

I think it looks good except for a relatively small part; plates (fungia) can swell up with water and move and that may be why it fell. Best to keep on sand I think

Yeah it was totally healthy and loved to eat when it ate it would swell up a lot but when it fell the skin ripped and retracted one one section it is still inflating to gather light and will even eat I just don’t know if it can cover it’s skeleton again

It would be a good idea to place that on the sand bed as Fungia tissue can get irritated on rock. It will help with recovery as well. Good luck!
