Hi all, been in the hobby about 8 years. Had a few tanks. (Life happened). Anyway, got back in about a year ago. Decided to keep it simple and enjoy. Have a 40b/20l sump/refuge. Herbie overflow. T5 ho lighting on display. Pc on fuge. All types of coral frags from sps to softies. Currently 5 fish. And all types of inverts. I have a couple macros in display and 3 types in fuge. Tank has been doing better than ever. parameters are near perfect and corals are growing. I also like to get into the microlife if anyone's interrested. I love finding new worms or "bugs" in the fuge and identifying them. :-) most recently a isopod!! Ahh. Lol. Best triumph so far is tied between beating dinoflagellates and finally taming nitrates. Chat me up

Welcome!

If you beat dinos, that's a heck of an achievement compared to nitrates!!

Great looking tank!

thanks

Thanks guys. And yes dinos were crazy work to beat. But the nitrates took me longer to figure out. Dinos were unbelievable though. I was vacuuming twice a day on top of other things for a solid month. This was 25 mins after a vacuum.

I always keep a sm cup of tiny rubble in the tank. I don't have room for a frag rack. So anything that comes loose (ie: mushroom, couple zoas, piece of my kenya tree) goes in the cup to attach to a piece of rubble. I don't like frag glue. Pain in the butt, barely works, and just seems wrong to glue a lifeform. Also I put my new tiny additions in there to watch them longer before they intergrate. Like my yellow cuke and my new tiny rbta.! :-D

Welcome Wiz! Glad to have you here on R2R! I know just what you mean about having to constantly suck out the Dinos, a tank we have at work had a horrid outbreak and it took what seemed like an eternity to get under control!
