Hello,

I am currently running a Current USA loop system for my lighting. I feel it does a fairly good job but definitely not at the quality of some of the higher end systems. I am considering adding some supplemental moonlight/UV light. Specifically what I am looking at is the reef brite UVA light.

Are there benefits to adding light from the UV spectrum other than making the corals appear nicer? Does anyone have any experience with these lights? There are a few offered on marine depot in the moon light section.

Thanks for your help!

I have one of the Current Pro's (don't use it anymore) and it had pretty nice UV lighting and moonlight effects. I would have thought that the loop lights would have carried similar features.

Most supplemental moonlights are very low powered and won't do much for coral growth if that is what you are looking for.
