Wondering what this is....

I seem to have a lot of things in my tank that I really don't know what they are or how to take care of them... weather it be removing them or properly maintaining...

Underneath the rock that has my green star polyps- theres a little red... "thing" growing downwards...
Anybody?

Need a better shot, but if I had to guess I'd say Sponge from the looks of it.

I'd guess sponge, too.
