So I have noticed this little neon green thing that came on a rock with one of my corals...anyone know what this might be? Tried to take the best pics I could. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Oh and I think I noticed a little hole in the middle so maybe a mouth?

It looks like a single caviar to me but not sure.

Came on a piece of rock I got...it is neon green with the blue lights...and it had a tiny hole in middle that could possibly be a mouth?..

Maybe a blastomussa or favia as stated in other thread.

judging by the little skeleton that I can see id say blastomussa , but just have to wait until maybe it gets a tad bigger for 100% ID.

Ok cool thanks! And just googled it and it does resemble that. Guess i will need to investigate the upkeep of those now :)

No problem, im assuming the other coral you got there is a xenia or anthelia? if so id suggest trying to maybe cut or chisel the blasto off so that its not irritated by the other coral. Looking at that rock it should not be hard at all to take a chisel or small flat head screw driver and break the rock off behind it. Let us know it goes.

Ok sure thanks for the suggestion! Can i take it out of water to do that or try and do it in the water?

I am a newbie so not very knowledgeable.
You can take it out of water with no problem, when im cutting up zoas ive had them out of the water for close to 15 min before lol. If you ever need any help feel free to ask, if I cant help one of the other Reefsquad members might be able to.

Ok cool thank you very much! I am excited because i was browsing my tank and just noticed i have a coco worm! It is so pretty!
