I am planning to purchase a 120g tank and wondering if 2x4 wood stand will be sufficient or has to be metal? Can anyone please give me an advice on this?
I appreciate it.

Wood is just fine. Cheaper too. Just be sure to paint/seal ALL sides of ALL of the wood to help prevent rot or warping
